Vegan cheese shop Virgin Cheese recently opened its production facility and storefront in Clarkdale, AZ. Originally founded in Las Vegas by Jodi Paige, Virgin Cheese offers cashew milk-based artisanal cheeses in flavors such as Bleu, Brie, Feta, Lemon Dill, Pepper Jack, Sharp White Cheddar, Smoked Gouda, and Sriracha Cheddar. The brand relocated from Las Vegas to Clarkdale and is already partnering with restaurants to offer vegan options on their menus. Virgin Cheese is also available at cheese shops, chocolatiers, and other retailers in Arizona, California, Texas, and New York.
“The demand for plant-powered organic fare is growing, especially as consumers seek to build their immunity through eating cleaner, greener, and leaner. Seventy percent of the world population is lactose intolerant. People are just used to feeling bad when they eat dairy,” Paige said. “With Virgin Cheese, our mission is to offer a better vegan alternative that delivers on flavor as well as its many health benefits.”
